Pharmaton’s Lifesqueezer of the Year 2011 was 21 year old youth worker Ryan Swain. We can’t imagine anyone else squeezing as much out of each day! He was nominated by his mum after she recognised his ability to squeeze the most out of every single day following a life threatening heart condition. Ryan became ill when he was just four years old and only just survived a cardiac operation, which inspired him to live every day like it’s his last. As he got older, Ryan always strived to give something back to the community and previously worked as a trained drugs and alcohol participation worker for young children and he has helped to get young people with addictions off the street.

He now works as a youth volunteer whilst also spending a lot of his free time caring for his mum (who has Ménière's disease) and participating in the various hobbies he has taken on over the years including presenting and comparing at local Ryedale events, drawing, swimming and being a fully trained lifeguard. But Ryan’s main passion lies in speed sports and as a semi professional skateboarder he often competes at events up and down the country and makes people laugh at the stand-up nights in which he is a comedian. Suffice to say, the judges from Pharmaton® Vitality Capsules completely agree that he is one worthy lifesqueezer winner!

Runners Up – 2011 Lifesqueezer of the Year

2011 Runner up Tinu Fawehinimi.

Tinu Fawehinimi was nominated by her daughter for quite simply being brilliant! She is 65 and has the energy and zeal of someone half her age. She is happy to spend hours playing with her grandchildren or helping out anyone in the family. She has supported her family through some very difficult times and is a rock to them all.

The judges thought she thoroughly deserved her runners-up treat!

2011 Runner up Sara Lotay.

Sara Lotay spends her time working to help the life chances of teenagers in some of the most deprived London boroughs by mentoring them and helping them achieve qualifications that they may not have got otherwise. She also enjoys taking some time for herself playing the flute and is also a volunteer for the local NCT.
